Olympic National Park – The following statement was released by Olympic National Park officials at approximately 6:30pm Friday.
Search and rescue teams located and recovered a missing individual in the Sol Duc Valley on Feb. 6.
The incident remains under investigation, and no additional information is available at this time.
In accordance with Department of the Interior policy, the name of the individual will not be released until 72 hours after next of kin notification has been completed.
