Port Angeles – The Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce has announced an upcoming partnership between Nesterly, United Way of Clallam County, and the Chamber to launch a new program called Olympic Home Share.
It’s designed to expand housing options while strengthening community connections. Olympic Home Share will match homeowners who have extra space to people seeking affordable, stable housing. The idea is to help residents stay local, support the workforce, and make the most of existing homes.
Olympic Home Share helps homeowners on the North Olympic Peninsula to offer their extra bedrooms as long-term rentals in exchange for rent or, sometimes, chores, errands, or other mutually agreed-upon services.
Stays typically last anywhere between a few months to a full year or more, and can be renewed. Hosts create listings of their homes on the Nesterly platform, including photos, available dates, amenities, and a personal profile. Guests browse listings and reach out via Nesterly messaging, answering prompts from the Host. Guests and Hosts communicate over messages and video calls to assess compatibility.
