PORT ANGELES — The District 3 high school basketball tournament brackets are out, with no real surprises—and local basketball fans could see two matchups between Port Angeles and Sequim.
The Port Angeles Roughrider boys, now 9–9, are the #7 seed and will host the #10 seed Orting Cardinals Saturday night. Tip-off is set for 5:00 in a loser-out game.
A Roughrider win would send Port Angeles to Tacoma for a tough matchup against the 17–4 #2 seed Clover Park on Tuesday night at 7:00.

On the girls’ side, the 15–5 Roughriders, as expected, are the #1 seed. They’ll be double-digit favorites as they take on the winner of North Kitsap versus Orting. That game is set for Wednesday night at 7:00 in Port Angeles.
If Sequim can beat Steilacoom that same night in Tacoma, the Roughriders and Wolves would meet on Friday, February 20, at Bainbridge in a district semifinal matchup.

The Roughrider girls are the Olympic League champions and enter the District 3 tournament as the #1 seed and title favorites.
