PORT ANGELES. The Dungeness Crab Festival Board will hold a public town hall next week as organizers seek to address questions about the festival’s impact and future direction.
The meeting is scheduled for this Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the Red Lion Hotel in Port Angeles.
According to a press release, board members and staff will provide updates on festival planning and outline the event’s economic impact on Port Angeles and the surrounding region. Organizers say the discussion will include how CrabFest supports local businesses, tourism and community initiatives.
The board is also inviting public comment from residents, business owners, sponsors and volunteers. Organizers say the goal is to increase transparency and gather feedback as planning moves forward.
CrabFest has long promoted Dungeness crab and North Olympic Peninsula seafood, drawing visitors to downtown Port Angeles each fall. Festival leaders say continued community input is essential to maintaining partnerships and shaping the event’s long-term direction.
