Port Angeles – At about 9:00 Wednesday morning the Port Angeles Police Department posted the following message on social media.
“Police activity in the area of 700 N. Ennis Port Angeles Police are conducting an evidence search in coordination with search and rescue. If possible avoid the area.”
For those unfamiliar, that is where N. Ennis Street dead-ends at the Olympic Discovery Trail, directly across from the old Rayonier Mill site.
We asked the Port Angeles Police Department if they could provide any further information, and later got a call from Detective Sgt. Kori Malone, who told us that the police activity there is related to the disappearance of 27-year-old Marley Zimmerman.
Zimmerman has been missing since January 20, 2025. According to her sister Zoe Zimmerman, Marley left her home around 2:00 a.m. that morning, as captured by the house’s security cameras. She was wearing all-black clothing and carrying a light green or tan backpack.
Because it is an open investigation, police are not saying whether there has been a break in the case or if any new information has been collected.
Sgt. Malone asked us to remind listeners that there is a $5,000 reward being offered by the family to anyone who can provide information leading to her whereabouts.
If you have any information, please call the Port Angeles Police Department at 360-452-4545, or contact The Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women & People Task Force.
