Port Angeles – Two Port Angeles residents are in custody following separate violent attacks on Sunday.
On Sunday morning PAPD Officers were dispatched to a “disturbance” on the Laurel Street stairs, where an unidentified person was found with fresh stab wounds. The person was treated by PA Fire Paramedics and transported to Olympic Medical Center.
Surveillance video was reviewed that police say showed that an assault lasting 30 minutes culminated in the victim being stabbed multiple times.
The suspect, 29-year-old Isobel Fern Snow of Port Angeles, was located by officers the following morning and she was booked on the charge of Assault 2/Domestic Violence.
Also on Sunday, multiple callers called 911 to report a man on a violent rampage around the 1200 block of East Front Street.
One caller reported that a man had walked up to a vehicle parked at a pizza business, broke the driver side window with a rock, and struck the driver, who was waiting for his wife, through the broken window. The caller added that the man was now trying to break the window of a church.
The second 911 caller reported the same incident and added that he was armed with a knife. The third caller reported that the suspect had smashed the window of a marijuana store with rocks and was now attempting to force his way into the store.
Multiple Officers and Deputies responded and confronted the suspect, who was non-compliant and did not immediately surrender. A Taser and a “sponge round” gun were deployed and he was eventually subdued uninjured.
It was found that the man waiting in the car was struck in the head and torso multiple times. He was transported by ambulance to OMC.
The suspect, 34-year-old James Robert Lundstrom of Port Angeles, was booked on multiple charges, including MALICIOUS MISCHIEF, ASSAULT, HARASSMENT, BURGLARY, and more.
