SEQUIM — The City of Sequim has a new Community and Economic Development Director, effective February 19.
Karla Boughton began working with the City as a consultant in February of last year and assumed the Interim Director role in October.
Boughton has over 30 years of experience in municipal planning, including serving for five years as the Planning and Economic Development Director for the City of Poulsbo.
She teaches Environmental Law & Policy and other courses as an Adjunct Instructor for Western Washington University, and is the recipient of several state and regional awards for her professional accomplishments.
Boughton has a master’s degree in public administration from Seattle University and a bachelor’s degree in communications and political science from the University of Washington.
