Port Angeles – Clallam County Sheriff’s Detectives continue to investigate the death 73-year-old Port Angeles resident Danny Kendrick, whose remains were discovered on February 28 on Deer Park Road.

An autopsy found that Kendrick died from gunshot wounds, and the case is officially a homicide investigation.

Chief Criminal Deputy Amy Bundy told KONP on Wednesday, “This case is a still a “whodunnit.”  We have had some help from the community with our video canvas, but there is still no suspect identified. I wish I had more I could provide, but we are trying our best and much of it may rely on the crime lab which is several months out from test results.

She said detectives are working with the Washington State Patrol Crime Scene Response team to collect and process trace evidence.

Clallam County Sheriff’s Office would appreciate any information anyone may have regarding this incident. Crime tips can be provided via the non-emergency dispatch line: 360-417-2459 or via online reporting at clallamcountywa.gov/497/sheriff.
