PORT ANGELES — A man from Nevada who was reported missing after his vehicle was discovered abandoned east of Port Angeles has been found safe.

Deputies with the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office say 24-year-old Sage Hunter Greigo-Long was located Saturday afternoon in Port Angeles. Authorities say he is safe, his family has been notified, and he is no longer considered a missing person.

The case began Friday night, March 6, when deputies responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle around 8:15 p.m. The vehicle was parked off the roadway on Deer Park Loop near U.S. Highway 101 just east of the C’est Si Bon.

Investigators determined the vehicle — a white 2001 Dodge Durango — was registered to Greigo-Long, a resident of Fallon. About an hour before the vehicle was found, family members had reported him missing to the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office.

According to investigators, Greigo-Long had last been seen roughly 36 hours earlier leaving his residence and was believed to be heading to work. At the time, it was unclear why he may have traveled to the Pacific Northwest.

Greigo-Long legally changed his name in 2021. His previous name was Sage R. Cammack.

Authorities thanked community members who provided tips that helped lead to a positive outcome in the case.
