
SEQUIM — In baseball action, the Sequim Wolves jumped out to an 8-0 lead after five innings against North Mason, then had to hold on for an 8-7 win.
Pitcher Zeke Schmadeke earned the win, going six and a third innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out 10.
Devyn Dearinger came on in relief in the seventh and got the final two outs to seal it.
At the plate, left fielder Logan Doyle had the hot bat with two hits, including a double, driving in three runs, scoring once, and drawing a walk.
