PORT ANGELES — A 26-year-old man has been sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting two minors in Sequim.
Daniel Sigmon was sentenced to 10 years behind bars after pleading guilty to two counts of second-degree rape of a child.
According to court documents, the assaults happened in June of 2024 at Railroad Bridge Park, where two 13-year-old girls were playing in the river.
Sigmon’s sentence falls under review by the state’s Indeterminate Sentencing Review Board, meaning he could remain incarcerated beyond the initial term — potentially for life.
As part of his sentence, Sigmon must complete sex offender and substance abuse treatment, register as a sex offender, and have no contact with the victims for the rest of his life.
