Sequim – A Sequim man is in custody, charged with multiple counts of Possession of Depictions of Minors Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct and one count of tampering with evidence.
On November 3rd, 2023, Clallam County Sheriff’s Detectives received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children indicating that an internet user had uploaded files containing depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. The CyberTipline indicated that the suspect was 20-year-old Carl J. King of Sequim.
Detectives developed probable cause and applied for a search warrant for King’s phone. When they executed the search warrant at his home on December 24th, 2025, King attempted to hide the phone. Detectives located and seized the phone which revealed further evidence of his crimes.
On Thursday of this week, Clallam County Sheriff’s Deputies with the assistance of Sequim Police Department arrested King at his residence. He was transported and booked into Clallam County Jail without incident.
