PORT ANGELES — There’s a big Olympic League soccer matchup tonight as 6th-ranked Port Angeles (9-2) hosts North Kitsap (7-3) at 7:00.

The Roughriders beat the Vikings last week 5-1 — their first win over North Kitsap since 2019. A Port Angeles victory would all but clinch second place in the Olympic League.

Sequim (5-6) travels to Silverdale to face Olympic (3-7) with a 7:00 kickoff.

In baseball, Port Angeles (3-7 league, 7-8 overall) travels to Bremerton for a 4:15 first pitch. The Roughriders are currently seventh in the standings with an RPI of 41, which would give them a No. 7 seed in the upcoming district tournament.

Sequim (4-5) has an RPI of 43, putting the Wolves in the 12th and final district spot. They travel to North Kitsap today for a 4:15 start.

In fastpitch, Sequim dropped a doubleheader to North Mason, 11-2 and 13-3. The Wolves host third-ranked North Kitsap today at 4:15.

Port Angeles, ranked 10th in the state, hosts Bremerton at 4:00.

The Duke Streeter Golf Classic tees off today at noon at Peninsula Golf Club, with all eight Olympic League schools sending their top golfers.

In tennis, Port Angeles hosts Kingston at 4:00.

And the Peninsula Pirates women’s soccer team has signed Alicia Gonzales of Taylorsville, Utah.
