PORT ANGELES — Leaders at Field Arts & Events Hall say a major milestone has been reached in the facility’s capital campaign — the construction bill is now fully paid off.

Board President Brooke Taylor says that achievement marks a shift from building the venue to sustaining it. He announced the achievement on KONP.

“And I am very, very pleased to say this afternoon, that last Tuesday the construction phase was paid in full. There is no more debt…period,” Taylor announced on the Todd Ortloff Show.

Taylor says the capital campaign will officially wrap up June 13th, with a community celebration planned to mark the milestone and thank supporters.

“Save the date item: on June 13th, we’re going to have Field Day. We’re going to block off Oak Street, and we’re going to celebrate the fact that the building is paid for, and it’s just going to be a fun, fun day,” said Taylor

Even as the campaign ends, Taylor says fundraising won’t stop — instead shifting toward long-term sustainability, maintenance, and expanded programming.

He says the goal now is to ensure Field Hall continues to grow as a hub for arts and events across the North Olympic Peninsula.
