PORT ANGELES – The Peninsula Pirates women’s soccer team has signed Andrea Domingo, a transfer from Lake Tahoe Community College.
In her freshman season, Domingo helped lead the Coyotes to a 19-2-2 overall record, including a perfect 10-0 mark in conference play. Lake Tahoe advanced to the NorCal Regional Final.
Domingo started 13 matches, scoring eight goals and adding 11 assists.
Before college, she earned second-team All-3A North League honors at Sparks High School in Reno, Nevada.
The Pirates have also signed Linnea Heuschant of Vashon Island, along with international addition Inez Visser from Zuid-Holland in the Netherlands.

In baseball, both Port Angeles and Sequim have key matchups today and tomorrow to close out the Olympic League season.
At last check, Port Angeles, at 5-7, sits as the projected number six seed for the district tournament. The Roughriders host Kingston today and travel there tomorrow.
Sequim faces a must-win scenario. The Wolves are currently ranked 13th in the district RPI, with only 12 teams advancing. They host Bremerton today and travel there tomorrow—Bremerton currently holds the 12th and final spot.
A sweep likely puts Sequim into the district tournament.
Both Port Angeles and Sequim games begin at 4:15 today.
Sequim’s game at Bremerton tomorrow will be broadcast on KONP Newsradio.
In softball, Sequim hosts Kingston at 5:00, while Port Angeles travels to North Mason for a 5:00 first pitch.
In boys soccer tonight, fifth-ranked Port Angeles, 13-2 on the season, travels to Bremerton. Sequim is on the road at North Kitsap. Both matches kick off at 7:00.
And at the Olympic League golf tournament, Cale Wentz qualified for state with a round of 78.
Sky Gelder shot an 87 to qualify for districts, and Noah Meyers advanced by winning a playoff to secure his district spot.
