PORT ANGELES — Drivers heading west on Highway 101 near Port Angeles will begin using the new Ennis Creek bridge Wednesday night as construction on the fish passage project continues.
The Washington State Department of Transportation says westbound traffic will shift onto the newly built bridge the evening of May 13 between North Baker Street and South Del Guzzi Drive.
With the change, both eastbound and westbound traffic will travel on the new bridge structure. Eastbound lanes were shifted onto the bridge back on April 30.
Drivers should continue to expect nighttime lane closures between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. while crews complete utility crossings and continue work in the area.
WSDOT says the current traffic setup will remain in place through the summer of 2026 as crews finish bridge construction and stream restoration work at both Ennis and Lees creeks.
