SEQUIM – Law enforcement continue to investigate the theft of heavy equipment and lawn mowers from Sequim.
Sunday evening, a Ford pickup with a flatbed trailer was seen entering the Jamestown Healing Center property located at 526 S. 9th Ave. in Sequim.
The next day, a Jamestown employee told the sheriff’s office a Kubota mini-excavator had been stolen from the Healing Center work site. The suspect truck was described as a white Ford F150 4×4 extended cab pickup truck with a diamond plate toolbox and chrome running boards.
But later Monday, the excavator was found on property in the Diamond Point area. Deputies obtained a search warrant and with the Sequim Police Department’s assistance, recovered the stolen excavator along with three recently stolen riding lawn mowers taken from the Home Depot in Sequim.
The Sequim Police Department continues to investigate the thefts in cooperation with Clallam County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information regarding these thefts is asked to call the sheriff’s office or Sequim police or leave an anonymous tip at: https://www.clallam.net/cnmaster-c/nwformeml.php
