SEQUIM – A Sequim woman died in a car crash east of Sequim last evening.
61-year-old Linda Hopkins was killed when the car she was driving left Highway 101 near Louella Road and went down an embankment.
According to the State Patrol, it appears Hopkins missed a corner. Her Volkswagen Jetta then left the highway and traveled between the guardrail and the ditch before going over the embankment. The car went down about 40 feet and landed on its roof.
Hopkins was not wearing a seatbelt.
