PORT ANGELES — The deadline for Short-Term Lodging Business License applications in Port Angeles is a week away.
August 1st marks the end of the application period for licenses under the city’s new laws governing short term rentals. The application period opened the first of July.
The deadline applies to all short-term rental types, including Type I and Type II rentals, as well as Bed-and-Breakfasts. Late applications will be waitlisted.
Officials say the City will review applications for completeness and notify applicants of any missing items, which must be resolved by September 15. Incomplete applications by this date will also be waitlisted.
Port Angeles is working with lodging platforms to verify listings within city limits. Officials say non-compliant listings may incur citations, violations, or civil penalties.
