BLYN — A 67-year-old Sequim man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 101 near Blyn Road Sunday afternoon. According to the Washington State Patrol, the driver suffered a medical emergency, causing his 2014 Chevrolet Silverado to leave the westbound roadway, veer down an embankment, and crash.
The man, identified as Joseph P. Rowson, was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. Emergency responders life-flighted him to Providence Regional Medical Center for treatment. His current condition has not been disclosed.
The Washington State Patrol confirmed no drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident, and no other vehicles or pedestrians were impacted. The truck was totaled in the crash.
