Shifts in leadership at PA schools

PORT ANGELES – Changes are coming to administration at the Port Angeles School District.

Longtime Franklin Elementary principal Amity Butler is leaving Port Angeles. She’ll become a central-services administrator for the Northshore School District. Butler has worked in Port Angeles schools since 1994 and has been the principal at Franklin for almost a decade.

Jeff Lunt will be moved out of his position as an assistant principal at Port Angeles High School to become the interim principal at Franklin. Lunt, a Port Angeles native, has been with the PA district since 2004 and assistant principal at the high school for five years.

Changes are also coming to Stevens Middle School.

Jennifer Sikes has been named assistant principal there.  Before moving to Port Angeles, Sikes taught at Sequim Middle School and Greywolf Elementary in the Sequim School District and has served as principal of Neah Bay Junior/Senior High School.
