PORT ANGELES – A transient from Arkansas will serve four months jail time in what started as an assault and robbery case earlier this year.
35-year-old Matthew Pore’s jail time will be followed by a year of probation, after pleading guilty to second-degree robbery in Clallam County Superior Court.
In June, Port Angeles police were called to a domestic disturbance near First and Peabody. Investigators say they found a man had hit a woman in the head twice with his fist. She was bleeding from the head and appeared to be the victim of an apparent robbery.
Further investigation revealed the suspect forcefully took property from his fiancé, and when she tried to get it back, he attacked her.
