Olympia: As Veteran’s Day approaches on November 11, we’d like to congratulate a local veteran’s organization that will be honored this Saturday with a statewide Outstanding Service to Veterans Award.
The folks at the Northwest Veterans Resource Center in Port Angeles were just named winner of the Team of the Year Award by the Governor’s Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee and the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs.
The awards are presented at a special luncheon in Auburn which follows the City’s annual Veterans Day Parade. Awardees are also invited to ride and be honored in the annual Auburn Veterans Day Parade.
