PORT ANGELES — In fast pitch action, as expected the 7th-ranked Roughrider fast pitch team had no problem with North Mason beating the Bulldogs in 5 innings 11-0.
The Roughriders led 1-0 in the first when Lily Halberg doubled to the left-center wall and then scored off a single from Natalie Robinson. In the 2nd inning freshman 2nd baseman Kennedy Rongnlien continued her outstanding season when she doubled down the 3rd-base line. Lexie Smith then crushed a fly ball to the left-field fence, the left fielder dropped the ball, allowing Rongnlien to score. Lily Halberg then homered over the left-center field fence to make the score 4-0. The Roughriders scored 4 more runs in the 3rd as Rongnlien singled and Natalie Robinson and Lexie Smith both hit doubles to help the Roughriders to an 8-0 lead. The Roughriders scored 3 more runs in the 4th inning when Ava-Anne Sheahan and Halberg singled, Abby Kimball crushed a home run over the Center field fence to make the final score 11-0. Cheyenne Zimmer pitched 3 innings with 3 strike outs. Lynzee Reid pitched 2 innings with 2 strike outs.

The Sequim Wolves had a howling good time in Bremerton blowing out the Knights 25-1. Taylee Rome hit for the cycle and had 4 RBIs. Mia Pozernick went 4 for 4 with 7 RBIs. Mikki Green went 4 for 4 with 2 RBIs and Angel Wagner went 3 of 4 with 2 RBIs. Wagner also earned the win by throwing 7 strike outs.

In tennis action it was Sequim over Port Angeles 5-2. In singles, Liberty Lauer lost to Kendall Hastings 1-6, 3-6; Waverly Mead lost to Calliegh Thompson 1-6, 2-6; and Bella Artis lost to Tiffany Lam 3-6 2-6. In doubles action, Cindy Liang and Gwyneth Van Blair beat Dani Herman and Amara Gonzalez 2-6, 6-2, 6-1. Sarah Hancock and Bridget Weed beat Ashlyn Judd and Kiera Morey 4-6, 7-6, 6-2. Kayla Jones and Summer Hirst-Lowe lost to Kendall Day and Sydney Harris 1-6, 3-6. Katie Sperr Crane and Abby Robinson lost to Taylor Heyting and Kristine Prorok 2-6, 4-6.

Roughrider Golf coaches Bob Anderson and Mike DuPuis hosted the 29th Duke Streeter Invitational. Fifty-six high school golfers from the Olympic League were invited. Roughriders Edun Bailey and Phoenix Flores placed first hitting a 9 under par with a score of 63 on 18 holes. Austin Worthington and Nate Anderson shot a par 2 over and a score of 72. For the girls Piper Williams and Lauryn Chapman shot 12 over par and a score of 92.
