Gregson Named Interim CEO at Olympic Medical Center Starting Aug. 20

PORT ANGELES – Olympic Medical Center will soon have new leadership at the helm — at least for now.

Mark Gregson will step in as interim CEO on Aug. 20, following the departure of current CEO Darryl Wolfe the day before. The OMC Board of Commissioners chose Gregson after interviewing four candidates earlier this month, saying they wanted an interim leader in place to focus on finances, quality improvements, and strategic goals before launching a search for a permanent CEO. Gregson won’t be in the running for that permanent position.

Board Chair Ann Henninger says Gregson’s experience in rural healthcare and track record as an interim leader made him the right choice for the job.

In his first 100 days, Gregson plans to work on meeting compliance standards, controlling costs, exploring new revenue opportunities, and moving forward with OMC’s strategic partnership process with UW Medicine.
