PORT ANGELES — A Port Angeles winery is getting big recognition. Camaraderie Cellars in Port Angeles is celebrating a wave of awards, including a spot on Washington Tasting Room Magazine’s list of the 75 Best Wines of the Year.
That honor goes to the 2019 Reserve Vida — a blend of Tempranillo and Malbec that’s been a favorite in the tasting room this fall. Winemaker Don Corson says the extra time aging in large barrels and bottles really paid off.
And that’s not all — Camaraderie also brought home multiple medals from the Great Northwest Platinum competition, where only gold-medal winners are invited to compete.
Four of their wines earned Platinum, including the 2022 Grenache and 2020 Sangiovese. Four more took Double Gold, and the 2022 Tempranillo scored a Gold medal as well.
Corson says the awards reflect the winery’s commitment to crafting high-quality wines across the board.
