PORT ANGELES — Several new candidate filings are continuing to reshape the local ballot in Clallam County as filing week moves forward.

Among the latest additions, Virginia Shogren has filed for County Auditor, and Jennifer White has entered the race for County Treasurer. Both races are nonpartisan.

In the 24th Legislative District, activity remains high. Incumbent Democrat Adam Bernbaum has now officially filed for reelection in Position 1. He’s joined by Republican Aiden Hamilton and Republican Eric Pratt, along with independent Ted Bowen. Hamilton’s filing comes after he had originally announced plans to run for Position 2 before switching to the Position 1 race.

In the Position 2 race, Democrat Mark Hodgson is among the most recent additions, joining fellow Democrats Patrick DePoe, Kaylee Kuehn, and Bradley Nemo Callaway, along with Marcia Kelbon, who is running with no party preference.

At the federal level, the 6th Congressional District race has also expanded, with incumbent Democrat Emily Randall now filed. She joins Republican Teresa Fox, Republican Leon Lawson, and independent Brian P. O’Gorman.

Most other local races remain unchanged for now, though additional filings are expected before the end of the week.
