PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Coroner’s Office says 26-year-old Alleacya “Angel” Boulia died of accidental hypothermia after her body was found near Sol Duc Falls in Olympic National Park in February. Investigators say there were no signs of foul play. Toxicology results showed low levels of cannabis-related substances in her system, but officials said they did not contribute to her death.
Boulia, from St. Louis, was reported missing on November 27, and Rangers began their search in the park immediately after being notified on November 30. That same day, a rental car company picked up a signal that confirmed that Boulia’s rented Ford Bronco Sport was parked at the Sol Duc Trailhead.
Search and rescue teams from multiple agencies searched the Sol Duc area with dogs, drones, and on foot, while a technical team searched the river corridor.
Investigators later identified a new search area in the Sol Duc Valley, where Boulia’s body was recovered in early February.
