Thursday, Dec. 3 – Steph is here!

rpi_watch_us_live_squares_11-7-2022_the_scramble-2

It's Thursday...which means WE GET STEPHANIE! It's been a while since Amanda got to tease her favorite lady sidekick...and she seemed pretty happy to be back together.  Todd, Amanda and Steph find lots to talk about today, but the BIG topic of conversation was Christmas decorations and LIGHTS.  As it turns out, Steph and Todd are evidently professional Christmas Decoration critics...while Amanda likes basically anything that's shiny! (Her mother swears Amanda was a raven in a past life).

Also, sometimes in life, it's a good idea to say, "YES!".  Find out why in Todd's "Five Random Facts".

Thank you to our show sponsors Swains General Store and also to LaBelle Crepes.

Wednesday, Dec. 2nd – Marc is back…kinda…

rpi_watch_us_live_squares_11-7-2022_the_scramble-2

Marc Abshire is back on the show today...but joining us from an undisclosed, remote location. Actually, it's from the Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce offices in Port Angeles.  Knowing that Marc was going to be on today, Todd saved "Yes or B.S." to play with him...as he LOVES to beat Amanda...at games.

Plus, you'll hear more about Britney Spears than you've heard in a long time, plus an impression of her by our own Amanda Bacon.  Also, shave your beard and possibly win a free McRib?  Canada begs people to let MOOSE lick their cars, and have you ever wondered what a Police song would sound like as a country song...with yodelling?  Well then you REALLY need to listen to this podcast!

Thank you to our show sponsors Swains General Store, and also to Franks Auto Repair in Port Angeles.

12/2/2020 – City of Port Angeles planning public works projects – County Prosecutor reacts to high-profile case changes – What’s on your Christmas playlist?

konp-206x206

City of Port Angeles Public Works and Utilities Director Thomas Hunter talks about projects planned for utilities and and streets in the coming year. Clallam County Prosecutor Mark Nichols reacts to three of four defendants in two multiple murder cases changing pleas to guilty. Amanda Bacon gives us some holiday listening ideas. Here they are:

She Daisy – Brand New Year – “Santa’s Got a Brand-New Bag” is a GREAT get up and boogie song…and their version of What Child Is This is breathtaking.  Plus, the mashup of Hark the Harold Angels Sing and Carol of the Bells plays on repeat every year in my house!

Carrie UnderwoodMy Gift -  Great duet with John Legend on a song called Hallelujah (not the one you’re thinking of) but my favorite is the duet of Little Drummer boy with her son Isaiah.  So cute!

Jessie J – This Christmas Day - known as a pop singer, she is, in all actuality, an incredible singer.  This Christmas album is fantastic start to finish. My favorite songs off it are her rendition of “Santa Clause Is Coming to Town”, a song called “Christmas Day”, about missing someone you love, who has left this world, on Christmas, and her version of “Silent Night”.

Kelly Clarkson – Wrapped in Red - her version of “Run Run Rudolph” is just the best!  She ALSO has a version of “Silent Night” that features Reba McEntire and Trisha Yearwood that is CHILLING!

Of course, Mariah Carey and her Christmas album “Merry Christmas” is classic.  If you want a little different take on All I Want for Christmas is You, look up Chase Holfelder.  He sings it in a minor key and it’s just so cool!

Michael Bublé – Christmas - great Christmas album with a fun little rendition of “Santa Baby”…updated to be sung by a man…and in this decade.  It also features a sweet duet with Shania Twain on “White Christmas.”

And have you heard the Pentatonix Christmas albums…A-MA-ZING!  Mary Did you Know is stunning! Any and all of their Christmas Albums are great!

The soundtrack for the Preachers Wife is also great and has a beautiful song called, “Who Could Imagine a King” sung by the incomparable Whitney Houston.

Tuesday, December 1 – Wait…what?

rpi_watch_us_live_squares_11-7-2022_the_scramble-2

How are we in December already?  Todd and Amanda host the Scramble sans Stan this morning, and talk about...SPORTS!?  Amanda thinks she knows things about sports...as it turns out...she just might.  The big shocker of the show comes when it revealed that Amanda hasn't seen a certain movie.  She is being sent home to watch it, and can not report back until she does.  (not actually...but that would be fun!)

Thank you to our show sponsors Swains General Store, and also to Hartnagel Building Supply, Angeles Millwork, and Peninsula Bottling.

Monday, November 30th – BACON IS BACK

rpi_watch_us_live_squares_11-7-2022_the_scramble-2

Bacon is back...and she has pink hair!  She IS starting to get a complex though...as Stan and several other office staff took the day off upon her return. :)

Todd and Amanda have fun nonetheless, and jib jab about how the holidays went, the crazy national days on tap for the 30th, and a bunch of other random topics.  PLUS, Todd tries out the top 10 worst "pick-up" lines on Amanda.  Spoiler alert...Amanda knew several of them.  *face palm

Thanks to our show sponsors Swains General Store, and also Pegasus Dry Cleaners in Sequim.
