Hometown: Saint Louis, MO
Resident: Minneapolis, MN
Born and raised by a touring musician mother, Cameron Wright was destined for a music career. By training under her mother, Cameron became known as a local sensation by age 11. They performed at all the local venues and recorded a demo, which was later heard by Stevie Wonder and led to performing a duet with him at a concert. After high school, Cameron moved in with their grandparents in St. Louis and instantly felt reconnected to their roots. Cameron started writing songs there, which played an intricate part in developing their sound today. By 2015, Cameron had built a strong social media presence and moved to L.A. for new musical opportunities. Within two months of moving to L.A., they booked major shows with artists such as the 1975 and later performed at Beyoncé's Beychella. In 2023, Cameron learned their grandmother was very ill, so they canceled all musical obligations to be in St. Louis with her. Two weeks later, she passed away from breast cancer. During her mother's recovery, Shye was raised by her older siblings. Guided by them and dedicated mentors such as her choral teacher and music instructor, Shye refined her musical skills and built assurance. Shye's songwriting and singing became a vital source of relief for her and her mom, allowing them to bond and find emotional support in each other. Today, Sheila, while still dealing with some mobility issues, is no longer hospitalized and lives with Shye full-time. Shye finds fulfillment in volunteering outside of music, especially for LGBTQ+ and Black student organizations.

Team Gwen

Resident: Douglasville, GA
Jan Dan is a stage name that was derived from the first part of his given name, Najee spelled backward, and the first letters of his last name, Daniels. Jan Dan's mom, Fundisha, is a singer and songwriter. She landed a record deal with Jermaine Dupri's company, So So Def, and moved Jan Dan and his siblings to Atlanta when he was just 10 years old. Besides his mom, his uncle, LaShawn, was a Grammy Award-winning songwriter and producer and one of Jan Dan's biggest inspirations. Unfortunately, LaShawn died in a tragic car accident in 2019, which left Jan devastated. Although music was something he loved, Jan Dan wasn't ready to pursue music full-time after high school. He went the safer route and enrolled in culinary school. Over the years he became more confident in his musical abilities and pushed fear aside. Remembering what his uncle told him before he passed, Jan Dan shifted his focus to music to build upon his family's legacy. The Voice – Season 26 – Katie O!

I was THRILLED getting to chat with this young lady! I have been a fan of hers since I first heard her sing. I was blessed to have her open for a couple of shows I was involved with in Florida. I KNEW she was going places. Proud of you honey!
KATIE O, 18
Team Reba
Hometown & Resident of Jacksonville, FL
As a child, Katie always had a love for music. She would sing around the house and learn her schoolwork by making up songs. Katie spent a lot of time at the beach and at her grandparents' house on the river.
Growing up with three older brothers, she loved outdoor activities like fishing and shrimping with her family. Katie's earliest memories of fishing and shrimping were with her dad, whom she unfortunately lost when she was 9. Thankfully, her relationship with God, loving family and love for music got her through that hard time. After performing at an open mic at a local restaurant, Katie started to seriously pursue music. She then knew singing was her calling. Soon, she began singing all over the U.S. at restaurants, fairs, veteran events, festivals and Jacksonville's own River Taxi. Katie decided to take a year off from college to prioritize her music. She's focused on performing at new places, releasing music and songwriting. Katie is excited to see where this year takes her.
