Port Angeles Symphony Orchestra Holiday Concert
December 13 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
$20 – $40
Join your Port Angeles Symphony — the full orchestra with Maestro Jonathan Pasternack — for a thrill of a concert. The fabulous cello soloist Gregorio Nieto is coming from New York City to join the 65-member ensemble on stage at the Port Angeles High School Performing Arts Center, 304 E. Park Ave. Here are some of the musical gems on the program: Tchaikovsky’s “Winter Dreams,” Saint-Saens’ First Cello Concerto; Tyzik’s Chanukah Suite, Massenet’s Meditation from Thais, and the premiere of local resident Vincent Oneppo’s Overture to “The Man Who Saved Christmas.” All of this is capped by the traditional audience sing-along of holiday carols, plus Hans Christian Lumbye’s “Champagne Galop.” You’re invited to come early for Jonathan’s brief pre-concert chat at 6:30 p.m., when he introduces the evening’s program.
