SEQUIM–In the early morning hours of Friday, October 16, 2020 Sequim officers were called to a residence on South 7th Avenue in Sequim where a 14-month-old girl had been found unresponsive. Emergency medical care was provided to the child by medics from Sequim Fire District #3, but efforts to revive the child were unsuccessful. The child was pronounced dead at about 2:20 AM.

Investigation of the scene leads police to believe that the death was accidental, and no foul play is suspected. However, all deaths are thoroughly investigated in conjunction with the Clallam County Prosecutor/Coroner’s Office. The Clallam County Coroner maintains jurisdiction over this case investigation.
