SHINE – Critical maintenance work on the State Route 104 Hood Canal Bridge has been rescheduled due to unfavorable weather. Washington State Department of Transportation contractor crews will close the bridge to vehicle traffic for three consecutive nights for more than five continuous hours.

Nightly beginning 10:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following morning:

  • Tuesday, Jan. 4
  • Wednesday, Jan. 5.
  • Thursday, Jan. 6.

Due to the nature of the work, the bridge will not open for any traffic including emergency response. The work is weather-dependent and could be rescheduled.

The overnight closures allow crews to continue work on a project that replaces and bolsters bridge equipment.

Travelers can get information about the Hood Canal Bridge via WSDOT email alerts, and the WSDOT app.
