SEQUIM, WA – A Tacoma man is in custody, suspected of traveling to Sequim in February specifically to steal a $29,000 excavator from the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe Healing Clinic campus and four industrial grade riding lawnmowers from Home Depot.
Detectives were able to identify Calvin Larson through video surveillance and witness interviews, and a warrant for his arrest was issued earlier this week.
Sequim Detective Rick Larsen provided the Clallam County Prosecutors Office with Probable Cause for Larson’s arrest.
During the arrest, Larson was found to be in his possession. He is prohibited from possessing a firearm due to an extensive criminal history of eleven previous felony convictions, including Robbery, Theft and Trafficking in Stolen Property.
The Sequim Police Department will be working with the Prosecutor’s Office to determine if additional charges need to be filed in the case.
