PORT ANGELES – Police have arrested the person they believe responsible for a series of “markings” made on houses and vehicles across Port Angeles.

28-year-old Gregory Stanfield was booked into the jail yesterday on malicious mischief.

On Saturday and Sunday, police received about a dozen reports of graffiti damage from “Sharpie” pens. In most cases doors and cars were etched with an “x”.

Police ask if you experienced damage to your house, car or property from a marking pen this past weekend to go to the PAPD webpage and complete an online report and reference case number 2022-4848. Officers want to identify all the events and victims to ensure the potential for restitution should the defendant be convicted.
