SEQUIM – Bloodworks Northwest will be hosting four blood donation events in the month of June in Sequim to meet what is now an urgent need, and they’ve just added one more event coming up this Friday, April 29.

A recent news release says blood donations have been well below average, putting inventory levels in a precarious position, so they’ve added this last-minute donation opportunity to help with the situation, relying on Olympic Peninsula donors to make an appointment and give blood.

Friday’s Pop-Up donation site will be at the Trinity United Methodist Church near Carrie Blake Park at 100 S. Blake Ave from 11:00am to 5:00pm.

Appointments are required. To make an appointment, go to bloodworksnw.org or call 800-398-7888, or stop by the “day of” to see if appointment slots are available.

There is no wait to donate if you have received the vaccine. All donation sites follow strict safety guidelines and masks are required.
