PORT ANGELES — The Olympic Peninsula Humane Society is hosting a public tour this Saturday of their new, 7,500 sq. ft. McKay Kitty City Campus in Sequim. It’s designed specifically to house cats, kittens, small critters, vet services and the people who make it all work.

Executive Director Luanne Hinkle says the new facility includes custom patios for the cats, or “catios”, roaming rooms and condos, along with a fully equipped surgery suite, all built in what was formerly a church. She says the $1.6 million project, from fundraising to building purchase and remodel, including equipment acquisition, took a little over a year.

Join them Saturday, June 18 from 11:00-3:00 at 91 S. Boyce in Sequim. There will be a County Commissioners Proclamation presentation at 10:30, just before the tours begin.
