JOYCE – The 37TH Annual Joyce Daze Wild Blackberry Festival is this Saturday, and there’s an old tradition that’s in danger of falling away without a little help from the community.

For decades one of the founders, Leila Singhose, has baked cookies for the Joyce Daze Parade participants, serving them at the Staging Area.

Leila and husband John Singhose are trying to step back and train others, but baking 100 dozen cookies is a huge task.

We got a letter from friend Patti Morris, who wants to get the word out that if you’re going out to Joyce Daze, try and bring a dozen cookies to the Parade Registration tent no later than 10 AM.
