SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — An Amber Alert has been issued for a 5-year-old boy who was taken from a Spokane Valley home following a stabbing.

The alert says 41-year-old Justin Robertson broke into the home of his estranged wife early Tuesday, stabbed her multiple times and took their son.

The boy is white, with brown hair and brown eyes and weighs 30 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue pajamas and an orange Nike shirt.

The suspect is white, 5-foot-9, 205 pounds, with a goatee and green eyes. Robertson was last seen wearing a green Adidas shirt and black Adidas shorts.

Law enforcement believes Robertson is driving a 2014 red Subaru Legacy with Washington license plates.

Police say the stabbing victim’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
