Port Angeles – Incumbent Clallam County commissioner Mark Ozias has filed to run for re-election.

In the only partisan race on the local ballot this fall, Ozias will run again as a Democrat. No one has yet filed to run against him.

Also yesterday, a primary race for Fire District 2 Commission developed.

Steve Hopf filed for the seat currently held by Richard Ruud. He joins Ruud and Keith Cortner in the race.

Troy Tenneson has filed for Sequim city council and is so far unopposed.

More candidates filed for Charter Review Commission spots.

Gary DeKorte joined the field for a spot representing the east end of the county.

Allen Coleman, Jane Vanderhoof, Mary Doherty, Nick Spaeder, Patti Morris and Diane Haffner all filed yesterday for the charter review position representing the county’s central district.

Filing continues through Friday for more than 50 local offices on the ballot in Clallam County this fall.
